Really nice! Think it really depends on what you’re looking for. When I worked at an advertising agency I visited a enormous photo studio and they were really proud to show us around to see their latest addition specially for car photography.

Basically it was just a gigantic sphere cut in half and scaled a bit on the y-axis, looked like a huge egg split through the middle. So the car was placed inside on a rotating platform and it was real easy for them to have a basic amount of light striking the car over all angles. Than they worked with some extra lights to get the highlights where they would want them.

Was really impressed by their new setup and still want to fix something like that in KeyShot as well. Just to showcase some liveries I did for online racing.

Hey! Cool story. I would never imagine to use a huge egg to light the car, but I’m goin to try that out, because basically I’ve been using 3 point lights

I got curious again but couldn’t find images on their site so I wrote an email if they would have any. I didn’t even remember it was this big but it gives you a nice idea

The guy who emailed me now gave me a little tour back in 2005 and told me they would mirror their entire building for a ‘bit’ more space and I saw they did. Really impressive studio and as far as I know the biggest in the Netherland. Lukkien | Creative Production Company

Wow! thas is completely different as I imagined. It even looks like a render itself haha! I’m gonna try to replicate the environment and see how it works! thanks so much for the reference and fot taking the time to ask for the images

You’re welcome! Nice to see it again as well, when I saw it there was no car in it and they were about to photograph some kind of prototype which was outside under some blanket. Now with that Audi it’s nice to get an idea about it’s size.
